Just a short 20-minute drive away, Cavendish is one of the island's most popular destinations. Best known as the home of Anne of Green Gables, it's the perfect place to step back in time. Explore Avonlea Village, stroll through Anne's house, or enjoy a scenic carriage ride. Cavendish also offers plenty of shopping and activities for all ages. Be sure to visit the Cavendish Boardwalk, home to the famous Cows Ice Cream, named the "world's best ice cream" by Tauck World Travel. You'll also find plenty of shopping, from clothing and handbags to jewelry, fish 'n chips, and more.

Cavendish Beach, located in Cavendish National Park, is a beautiful white-sand beach that's popular with visitors. There's plenty of space to relax, along with amenities like food vendors and washrooms.

For even more family fun, Cavendish is home to amusement and water parks for all ages. Sandspit features rides, slides, bumper cars, bumper boats, and more. Right across the street, Shining Waters offers a full water park experience. Combined passes for both attractions are available, making it easy to enjoy a full day of adventure.

Charlottetown

No visit to Prince Edward Island is complete without exploring Charlottetown, the birthplace of Confederation and a city rich in history. But don't let its historic roots fool you - Charlottetown is vibrant, energetic, and full of life. You'll find plenty of pubs featuring live music, lively clubs for nightlife and dancing, and some of the finest restaurants around, offering everything from world-class seafood to top-notch steakhouses.
